Merry Xmas Everybody.

Indeed it is that time of the year again, hang the stockings or in our case our boots, prepare the feast and pop that champagne because Santa Claus is back in town for one night only. These particular photos were taken at the Leo Burnett Xmas party, the theme was a school graduation night 'Class of 2009' where white shirts and navy blue ties were compulsory. MBB had a great time and would like to thank Leo Burnett for yet another memorable Christmas party.

And from MBB to all photographers, stylists, hair and make up artists, retouchers, assistants, art directors, creative directors, ad agencies and anyone else who we may have missed, have a pleasant Christmas and a safe New Year.

Lindemans Wine.

Arriving to the MBB office I was quite shocked to see the studio downstairs had been transformed into a field of flowers and grass. For fun? Of course not, Garry Moore has had the pleasure of shooting for 'Lindemans' Wine.

We called in the expertise of Margaret Kernich to source grass and flowers for us recreating the perfect field from scratch. The shoot turned out to be a massive success with the client and agency staff pleased. The only hangover feeling left that week wasn't due to the wine but the thought process of how to clean up the mess.
Enjoy!

Important lessons learnt at MBB #2.

Well kiddies we're back again for I have learnt yet another important lesson here at the MBB office, this one was taught by Veronica Moore. Sitting at the lunch table - we began talking about British television and of course whenever one of the MBB producers mention something that's 80's and older I have to ask 'what's that?' with a puzzled face.

'Are You Being Served' was around from 1972 to 1985 and featured humour based on sexual innuendo, misunderstandings, mistaken identity and occasional slapstick. This particular video is about Mrs. Slocombe and her cat.

Till the next lesson, enjoy.

Important lessons learnt at MBB #1.

There's always one lesson that will stick with someone for the rest of their lives - whether that was your fourth grade mathematics teacher telling you the x goes over the 1 in order to find the value in y (which I'm sure you all use now don't you?) or perhaps it was your year 10 English teacher that told you I before E except after C.

Well I myself had a similar life lesson last week, nothing to do with mathematics or english, my life lesson was non other than Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights'. Forced by the crew at MBB to sit through 4 minutes of wacky dance moves and crazy eyes was more than enough for me. Andrea was there to capture this moment on camera.
Enjoy.

Stockland Highlands - Behind the Scenes

Garry was in his element at the most recent Stockland's shoot. The wind was blowing a gale, he was up to his chest in water. Garry loves a challenge, especially a phsyical one. Whilst it wasn't rock climbing or skiing, shooting lifestyle pics in these conditions was nearly as satisfying.

MBB & PFF

Hot on the heels of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week...

MBB had a very strong presence at this years Perth Fashion Festival! Christian Blanchard, Philip Boon and Dean (who have all lived in Perth at some stage) attended every event on the Festival calendar and were seen making friends with Perth's Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi and various other Perth socialites (aka "Perthonalities").

Christian shot the campaign for this year's Festival and his images were seen all over Perth during the festival winning him much praise. Philip was flown to Perth to speak at the Master Class, making it truly an entertaining event!

The MBB boys finished off the week by attending the Mercedes WA Fashion Awards, which featured an exhibition of Perth photographers, prominently featuring Christian Blanchard's work.

All are now being dubbed "Perthonlities" themselves!

FASHION WEEK!

Last week the fashion creatives at MBB took out their best threads from the closet, dressed up and headed into Melbourne for MSFW. First on the agenda was the opening of 'The Spirit Of The Black Dress' exhibition that Christian Blanchard shot, that later progressed to the Madam Virtue Fashion Show which was styled by Philip Boon. If you look to the left of the first image below you'll see the lovely Veronica Moore.

Below you will also see images of MBB folk at the 'I HEART Flamingo Sands' pool party launch. I joined Christian, Narelle, Philip and Dean along with very lovely bloggers Bryanboy, Matt from Imelda and Helen from Sassybella, all very lovely people. Our fabulous stylist Philip Boon had taken famous blogger 'Bryanboy' up down and around Melbourne showing off our diverse fashion culture.

So yes it was a very busy week. Very fun indeed.

Bye for now.
